Healthy Heart
==============
Ever look at HEALTHY HEART?
LOOK AT IT AGAIN.

HEAL-THY-HEART!

If we heal our hearts from past wounds and insults,
and forget about "Getting Even,"and don't hold grudges,
we will have a healthy heart...
just a thought.

So I'm still working on my book, "She." I'd like for this book to touch every phase of women (if possible). So in writing, I'm working on becoming a better writer and thinking outside of the box that I have allowed myself to be comfortable in. Your comments will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Outweighed Prayers

Sometimes it feels like my feelings outweigh my prayers.
Or maybe my prayers are still praying and my feelings are laced in handprints.
And I’m trying to keep God in mind,
But even He committed adultery disrespecting Joseph by giving Mary a baby Jesus.
Like her,
Maybe I can’t resist you.
And the thought of aborting my feelings for you are unrealistic.
Realistically speaking,
I’m afraid you don’t feel the same.
I drape thoughts over my mind disregarding vows,
But who’s to say you’d be ready to take me as your queen.
You’re everything.
I wish you’d take me as your missing rib…linked to kingdom come.
Often I think I’m wrong for thinking the way I do.
Like maybe your God is teaching you the right things and I’m your devil.
You're impose.
And I’d sell what’s left of the soul I have,
An even exchange for your heart.
I wish you’d over indulge yourself into my gates of heaven,
And become one with my pulse.
Beat with me…
How can I write you a love poem different from those you’ve read before?
And make you believe in-
Should be’s,
Suppose to be’s,
Meant to be’s?
Love there’s so many things I’ve got to tell you…
Though sometimes I wish I didn’t know how.
Because then,
Well then maybe my feelings wouldn’t outweigh my prayers.
And following my heart wouldn’t be a sin.
Judged,
A women meeting her match with fate.
They say if it’s meant.
I try not to hold my breath,
But sometimes my lips would rather the oxygen of our mouth to mouth sensation.
Creating generations with our eyes closed.
I guess I was meant to be a cheater, taking peaks.
Though I just want to make sure dreams really do come true.
And your touch is magic…
Though they call it adultry.

The Ultimate Love
==================

The ultimate love has nothing to do with the quality of the person.

It has to do with the quality of the love.

Reagan High

So I'm at Reagan right now and you know what...
it's not that bad. Honestly, it's what I expected. My students like me and most of them come to class and do their work, but of course I have a few nuckle-heads with unruly attitudes. I don't remember high school being like that for me (Like that?)...skipping made easy...acting out or getting in trouble made easy...no real consequences for their actions...using curse words like it's apart of their tongues and diction. Now understand this, I'm not judging them by being a product of society but more so judging their society.
I said I didn't want to be one of those teachers that can't work anywhere or that turns her nose up at that side of the highway. Because regardless of their situation or lack of this or that, they are still our future, our youth, our voices.
But what do you do when it seem like out of the whole school only 25-45% seem like they genuinely care and the other 55 or 75% doesn't? How do you reach and relate to every student?

Scary how they have already touched me and affected me in a matter of 4 days!
Scary I feel that I care more than they do and want to pass opportunity into their lungs, but they keep holding their breath like learning smells like a horrific fart.
I'm afraid to give up on them for I fear that society already has.

So we all know I haven't blogged in a while. I guess I've kinda been holding my breath on a few things, in return my blog has suffered as well. On top of everything else, I have honestly been busy. With subbing at a challenging location everyday (waking up at 6am), attending my teaching certification program classes (M/T/TH), delivering & constructing applications...resumes...interest letters, and focusing on my Baybid...his business...our hustle, not to mention this past week I've been sick!
Just when I thought I was done, I'm also apart of She Smiles Productions and the Under21 Slam Board, which both are very new exciting committments.

But I do ask by the Poetry Gods, Blog Lords, and Neo Soul venue, family & friends (lol) to forgive me for my absence.
More posts and updates continue as follows:
I have however been able to relax from time to time and enjoy....

  • Trip to ATL was cool, but definitely will have to be revisited

  • Invited to Fight Night (NO BOYS ALLOWED) with Jesus Juice Party in celebration of life for the beautiful dreaded clown I call Auntie...Thank you so much for including me, sometimes being around women is needed!

  • Dinner @ the Garden with Big Sister So For Real was awesome! And again, much needed. Thank you for listening, laughing, and loving....I got the article, but where's the books LOL!

  • Mom moved into her new house, which I am a bit jealous of (smile), but I do understand that what's for me (us) will be for me (us).

  • Expressed myself to an old friend, made a new friend (WHAT UP COURTNEY), and remains the same with my Jenna-Be

  • Brandon, my boy cousin that has come to Neo with me before is expecting a baby GIRL!

  • C.J. (the one who cried at the wedding-lol) will be home from Iraq soon!

  • AND I sold my truck!

What is STILL needed:

  1. Help making the decision to sign the AISD contract that was offered to me. Problem, only one school is offering a position (which I have applied for and interviewed last week). What if I sign and no schools are hiring? If I sign the contract I am agreeing to work with AISD for a year.
  2. Should I hold off on signing my contract with AISD (deadline: February 16th) until I hear more from RRISD or PISD?
  3. Fellowship of Wings!
  4. A VACA! Maybe Vegas, Cancun, or Cali
