ONE AWESOME WEEKEND:
Mannnnnn I needed it too. It started with David and I on Friday hangin out at Barton Creek then downtown to Stubbs BBQ...it was okay but I've had better. I really don't eat BBQ, as weird as that may be it totally contradicts the "all black people eat BBQ" story. We also have this new rule we're working on with turning the t.v. off at 9pm just for the QT and talking....unless something is on that we both want to watch.
Saturday I woke up kinda early waiting on my moma, Pizza, and Jenna-Be (the O.G. bf) to get here. And once they made it we got an early start on laughter, friendship, sisterhood, and SHOPPING! I-Hop was first (shout out to Jose the cute little high school waiter who did a great job) we talked about everything from birth to marriage to poetry. Jenna-Be looked at the pictures from the wedding and decided that hers was the jazziest (lol) we relived the moment alittle bit in laughing at my sister crying, CJ crying, my dad, Sara (smile), me and the love shown by the poets at the reception. From there we went to Barton Creek, of course my sister bought something and I wanted too but couldn't find anything that just caught my eye like that. I also wanted to buy some Chucks-but no cigars. Traveled North to the Round Rock outlet, disappointed that I didn't find anything in Papayas : ( But it was all good, being around the one who gave birth to me, the one I used to take baths with as a baby and laugh hysterically at her splashing water, and the one who I was placed in a play-pin with 24 years ago...it doesn't get much better than that. Headed back to the hotel to check in hung out, then went to Gumbo's where David (the one who has loved me unconditionally) met up with us (not fazed by being the only male)...at this point I'm fulfilled. Again laughter, relate, relax, release. After that we went to Target, now that's my store!!!! I got two shirts, Jenna-B got one, my sister got a few things (who knows), my mom got candy (I think she has a problem-lol). It was just great to be around people who really know me who never deliberately hurt me who love me regardless of what I do say or think, because ultimately I make them proud, who never act out against me with immaturity LOL, wait a minute we are girls so sometimes its understood.
Of course that might I laid my head next to Baybids while they stayed at the hotel. We woke up to sunlight and shade. He showed me how to make pancakes (David Hop), and a omelet. Our own way to appreciate each others time ya feel me. The crew came over and we headed to Marie Callendar's, of course David and I weren't much hungry but the eye contact and falling out across the tables were still more fulfilling than any Sunday buffet.
I was sad to see them go, but I was more than appreciative for them coming. Honestly I needed it. Them coming really put things back into perspective with me and I'm good with me. Always.
Much love,
Eb
