Life After Nationals
Though some have heard me express my thoughts of nationals, I have not done so publicly.
I was disappointed in certain outcomes and decisions it was a good experience. Being around that many poets was an honor, as well as a humbling experience. Its hard to give the title of "favorite" to anything I heard because everything was awesome. Because of work I couldn't go to any of the day events, but I'm sure it rocked too.
The summer with my team was straight. I think we all walked away as better people and poets with a new look and love for poetry. I have a little of their blood as ink in my pens (thank you).
The opportunity to meet MO, you're everything she said you would be. You have beautiful skin. Still and again, thank you for those words.
I'm not sure if I'll be there next year as a slam poet, but possibly as just a poet (we make the world go round).
But for now, please believe the pen has begun to move.....
